Joyce Elaine Osborne

Joyce Elaine Osborne passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born in Lake City on March 6, 1935, to Roland and Alice (McFarland) Williams, Joyce graduated from Lake City High School.

She married Clifford (Todd) D. Osborne of Battle Creek, MI, on October 5, 1963, and they shared fifty-two wonderful years together.

Joyce was a proud owner of her own hair salon in Battle Creek, MI, and was a gifted beautician and hairdresser. Her creative talents extended beyond the salon; as she was an artist who enjoyed painting and carving wood into detailed carvings of her favorite birds, walking poles, and holiday elves.

Upon retirement, Joyce and Todd loved traveling in their RV each winter, visiting gem shows in Arizona and enjoying shrimp baskets on the coast of Florida. They cherished their time on the road, seeking sunshine, visiting family and friends, and making many new ones along the way. Eventually, they became permanent snowbirds in the Winterset Community in Palmetto, FL, where Joyce made many good friends.

Joyce loved her home in Lake City, surrounded by family and wonderful neighbors, enjoying car shows, parades, and celebrating the Greatest Fourth in the North.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Williams (wife, Ginny); nieces, Michelle DeMott (husband, Kale), Pam Schaffer (husband, Don), Angela Howard (husband, Jim); nephews, Brad Williams and Brian Williams (wife, Meagan); and many great nieces and nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Alice (McFarland) Williams, her spouse, Clifford (Todd) Osborne, and her sister, Frances Pardee.

A visitation service will be held at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home, 403 S. Pine Street, Lake City, MI, at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 3, 2025. Burial will follow in the Lake City Cemetery.
