Joyce Ann (LaFuze) Schaub

Joyce Ann Schaub, of the Manton area, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City. She was 64.

Joyce was born on March 2, 1959 in Los Angeles, California to Richard and Margaret (Meyer) LaFuze. She entered into marriage with Fred Schaub in August 2011. The couple spent 8 years together, until his time of passing in 2019. Joyce dedicated her life to her family and proudly raised two children. She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed working for Sara Lee as a cook. In her spare time, she could often be found crafting and making homemade blankets. Above all, she loved her family and will be deeply missed.
  
Joyce is survived by her loving children, Nick LaFuze (Kimberly Ayres) of Grawn and Mariana Graveline (Brad Phillips) of Grawn; grandchildren, Layla, Zane, Elektra, Kaori, Zara, Daniel, Aeralynn, Reighan, Braylin, Graicen and Oaklyn; siblings, Mary Schild, Tarra Hoag (Jeff), James Smith, Richard (Roxie) LaFuze, and Laura LaFuze; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marg LaFuze; sister, Madonna Chapelle; infant brother, Tracy LaFuze; and two brothers-in-law, Larry Schild and Dale Hoag.
  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Hall-Holdship Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at Cedar Creek Township Hall. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Manton.
