Obituary

Judith “Judy” Lynne King, 82, of Jackson, passed away on April 23, 2022.

Judy was born on December 20, 1939 in Jackson MI, to the late John and Regina “Jean” Francis Trotter. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, developing many close and lifelong friends with whom she remained in contact until her passing.

Judy loved family, and always looked forward to holiday gatherings with family, as well as family reunions. She also enjoyed traveling with family and friends, including trips to warmer weather during cold months, long weekends with cousins to northern Michigan, and vacations in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with her family.   Judy had a lifelong interest in sewing, creating doll wardrobes for grandchildren, quilts, holiday decorations, and clothing.

Judy is survived by her children, Julie (Dan) Larson, Kristy (Bryan) Burns, Craig (Karen) King, grandchildren Sarah, David, Leah, Kaitlyn, Geoffrey, Maire, Rachel, Patrick, Katie, and Grace, great-grandchild Gardner, brother James Trotter, and many other loving family members and friends.   Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dave, and special friend Maurie Lefere.

The family would like to thank the staff at Vista Grande Villa and Henry Ford Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for Judy in her last weeks/months of life.
