June Louise Zigler

McBain - June Louise (Richards) Zigler, of Riverside Township, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at her home with family by her side. She was 95.

June was born in Detroit, Michigan, on April 7, 1925. She met her husband, Merle Zigler, of Sterling, while he was stationed at Wayne Major AAFB in the Detroit area. They married on September 28, 1946 in Sterling, and later made their home in the Detroit area. 

June was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Harry and Bertha; sisters, Audrey and Hope; and brothers, Herschel and Paul.

She is survived by her son, Richard of Marion, MI; daughter, Connie, of Grand Rapids, MI; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Powers and Kay Thayer of Sterling; and brother-in-law, Mike (Bev) Zigler of Alamo, TX.

Graveside services will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, with Pastor Dalmus Meeks to officiate.

The family is being served by the Holdship Family of Funeral Homes and Cremation Services in McBain.
