Cadillac -Kathleen Rae (Williams) Bodary, 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 9, 2025, at her home in Cadillac. Born on January 7, 1950, to Luella (Shaver) and Otto Williams, Kathy was a lifelong resident of the city she loved. She graduated from Cadillac High School in 1968 and later earned her associate degree from Baker College, demonstrating a quiet determination and commitment to personal growth. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church in Cadillac. Over the years, Kathy held positions at Medical Arts Group PC, Carter’s Grocery store, and Avon Protection Systems. In each role, she brought warmth, reliability, and a genuine care for others that reflected the values she held dear.
Kathy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose love knew no bounds. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unwavering support, where she nurtured not only her children but also the values of kindness, resilience, and compassion. Kathy’s care extended beyond daily needs-she was a constant source of encouragement, a listening ear, and a guiding light through life’s challenges. Her strength and courage were deeply rooted in her Christian faith, which shaped the way she loved, served, and uplifted those around her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she loved so deeply.
Kathy is survived by her children, Christopher (Brenda) Bodary, Jennifer Bodary, and Lindsey (Justin) Cuykendall; her grandchildren, Terrell Bodary, Izak Bodary, Caitlin Bodary, Faylynn Cuykendall, and Kevin Cuykendall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luella and Otto Williams, and her brother, David Williams. Kathy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
No formal services are planned currently. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cadillac Vikings Band Boosters, an organization that brought her immense joy through the music and dedication of its students.
