Kayleonna A. Ervin

Lake City - Kayleonna A. Ervin, of Lake City passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at Munson's Cadillac Hospital. She was only 12 years old.

Kayelonna was a fighter from the start, being brought into this world as a preemie at only two pounds, on March 9, 2012, to mother Sunshine (Martinez) Norman. Even with the odds stacked against her, Kayleonna, created and celebrated nearly 13 wonderful years as a beautiful young lady.

Kayleonna had a passion for music and her family.  She could often be found singing or spending time with her friends and family playing Roblox.  Kayleonna enjoyed going for walks and swimming at the lake.  She will be remembered and cherished in the hearts of so many for her beautiful heart and the kindness she showed others. 

Kayleonna is survived by her loving mother, Sunshine Norman of Lake City; father, Derrick Ervin of Traverse City; her grandmother, Kathy Jo Carpenter; sisters, Amber (Dakota) King, Lyric Ervin; brothers, Justice (Haley Cubitt) Carpenter, JJ Carpenter, and Isaac Ervin; her aunts, Starr (Charles) Smith and Katherine (Robert) Priest; three nieces, Madilynn, Aurora, and Araya; two nephews, Huston, Jackson; and many other loving family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jerry Allen Carpenter and Alexander Heard; and her sister, Kaleigh Ervin.

Funeral services and time of sharing will be held at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 3:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior. A time of fellowship and food will follow the service at the Barn Hall in Manton. Memorial contributions may be directed to gofundme.com at: "Honoring Kayleonna: Help with Her Final Farewell".
