United States Air Force Veteran Kenneth Douglas Kuhn of Houghton Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully at the age of 77 in his home with his immediate family Dec. 25, 2024.
His passions included spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, watching Detroit Tigers’ baseball, and traveling with his wife Pauline Kuhn of 54 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Eleanor Kuhn, his mother-in-law Joan Chapman, and his favorite son-in-law Jamie McKibbin and is survived by his wife Pauline, children Katina McKibbin, Kevin and Casey Kuhn, grandchildren Walker McKibbin, Payton and Colin Kuhn, siblings Julie Warrender, Karen Fuller, and Tom Kuhn.
Ken was living his best life after retiring from the state of Michigan after over 30 years working for both protective services and the Adrian Training School.
In his later years, Ken enjoyed shooting pool with friends, participated in black powder shooting leagues, and socialized with friends at the local Eagles club.
Ken was known for his quick witted comebacks and was one heck of a good storyteller. His concern for the future of his country was unwavering because he simply wanted the best for his children and his grandchildren. In fact, his grandchildren were his whole world, and he would change any plans if it meant he could watch them compete in sports, share a deer blind, or spend a day with any of them on the water.
