Kevin Jay Hoover

Kevin Jay Hoover, of Cadillac, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Cadillac. He was 41.

Kevin was born on January 28, 1984 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to parents, Kevin and Cathy (Mongar) Hoover. In his spare time he could almost always be found outside, whether going fishing, for a walk, or two-tracking. Kevin enjoyed going rock-hunting and looking for the most special ones, especially Petoskey stones. He would take the time to run them through his rock tumbler and make them look beautiful. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his kids.
  
Kevin is survived by his loving family, father and step-mother, Kevin and Billy Jo Hoover of Cadillac; mother, Cathy Schabes of Sturgis; wife, Rebekah Hoover of Cadillac; children, Isiaha Hoover of Cadillac, Connor Bergquist of Mesick, Drake Hoover of Manton, and twins, Amara and Alyssa Hoover of Cadillac; grandmothers, Neva Hoover of Luther and Georgianna Hastings of Luther; siblings, Karrie Hoover of Indiana, Kristopher Hoover of Tennessee, Meagan Chappell of Cadillac, Jesse (Rachelle) Hoover of Cadillac, Bailey (Michael) Torney of Cadillac, and Katrina Zamudio of Holland; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and many other loving friends.
  
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Norris Hoover and George Hastings; and several aunts and uncles.
  
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Luther Lions Club, 1003 State St, Luther, MI 49656.
