Kimberly Simons Obituary

Cadillac - Kimberly Ann Simons, of Manton and formerly of Cadillac, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 11, 2025 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. She was 59.

Kim was born on September 28, 1965, in Clare, Michigan to Archie Powell and Carolyn (Navarre) Barraco. She graduated high school in Coldwater before earning her CNA.  Spending time in a few locations throughout her life, Kim moved to Wexford County in the early 2000's and over the past few years resided in Manton. Kim loved time on the water and often would spend time fishing or kayaking.  She truly admired nature and the outdoors and created many wonderful memories while camping with family and friends.  She enjoyed some time at the casino, but nothing could trump her time with her grandkids.  Kim was an amazing grandmother and cherished every moment with her grandkids.  She will be remembered for her ability to speak and befriend just about anyone and for her devotion to her family and grand-babies.

Kimberly is survived by her six children, Kimberly (Billy) Taylor, Kristin (Isaiah) Eisenhauer, Mary (Mike) Studdard, Carolynn (James Thomas) Gay, William Rawson, and Roger Orvis; twenty grandchildren, Deavin, Leonard, Morgan, Shayliana, Ronon, Renate, Mike, Parker, Kaydence, Lexi, Paisley, Noah, Aliyah, Reighlynn, Kaleb, Makiah, Jeffery, Jewl, Lilly, and Jaxson; and many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandchildren, Angel, Julian, River and Baby Eisenhauer; her baby brother and sister, Crystal and Allen; husband, Jeff Rawson; and significant other, Scott Lee Grasl.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Saturday August 16, 2025 at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior. The family requests that those in attendance, come as you are, possibly wearing her favorite color purple, but no fancy or formal attire is required or needed.   Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of her daughter, Kimberly Taylor.
