Our beloved wife, mother, and teacher, Krysten Carol Collier Clark, peacefully passed away on December 11, 2024 at the age of 78.
Krys was born January 3, 1946 to Don and Betty Collier in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Krys attended the University of Michigan where she met the love of her life, William (Bill) Clark. Bill and Krysten were married in 1967 and started their life together in Ohio. It was there that they began raising their three beautiful children.
In 1988, they made the move to their dream location in Lake City, Michigan. It was here where Krys was able to teach at the Lake City Elementary School for twenty-two years. She was an amazing teacher.
Krys loved swimming, skiing, knitting, traveling, reading, visiting friends, but what she loved most was her family.
Krys leaves behind her husband, Bill; her three children: Matthew (Nancy) Clark, Andrew (Jennifer) Clark, and Susan (Justin) Eilar; her three brothers: Don (Betsy) Collier, David Collier, and Steve (Molly) Collier; and countless other family and friends.
Krys also leaves behind her “little blessings”, their nine grandchildren: Zac, Ethan, Alicia, Connor, Katie, Cara, Lucas, Nolan, and Joseph. These nine were her heart.
Krys was preceded in death by her parents.
The funeral service will be held at her church beginning 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at the Lake City First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jan Jasperse officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time.
A graveside service will be on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount View Cemetery, in McBain with Pastor Jan Jasperse officiating.
