Obituary

Larry Jason Hawkins, age 85 of Lake City passed away on July 3, 2022 in Lake City.

Larry was born September 3, 1936 in Lake City.

He married the former Marilyn Swartz on April 16, 1994 in Clayton, Michigan.

Larry was a retired heavy equipment operator and member of Local 324 Operating Engineers Union.  He enjoyed being outside, cutting wood and traveling.

Larry is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. and children: Elger J. (Elizabeth) Hawkins, Sherry Johnson, Mike (Lori) Schmitz, Michelene (Ed) Carr, Melissa (David) Archer, Karla (Brian) Miller, Sabrina (Jay) Martinez and Jamie (Mollie) Schmitz , sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren and a sister, Joyce Kelly.

Larry was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Wraight) Hawkins, a step son, Art Schmitz, Jr, his parents, Dorothy (Rider) Oakley and Alger J. Hawkins, grandfather, Paul Hawkins, sisters, Donna Richmond and Diane Platz and brother in law, Clifford Kelly.

Burial will take place at a later date in the Maple Shade Cemetery in Onsted, Michigan.
