LeRoy J DeWeese

LeRoy J. DeWeese, age 85, of Prudenville passed away on Friday October 25, 2024 at Munson Healthcare-Grayling Hospital with his family by his side.

LeRoy was born on June 9, 1939 in Lansing, Michigan to Perry and Harriet (Kasprowicz) DeWeese. He graduated from J.W. Sexton High School in Lansing. LeRoy served in the US Army. He retired from General Motors where he was a supervisor for many years. LeRoy was married on April 29, 1988 in Lansing to Susan Lynn Clark. The couple moved to Prudenville in 1992. He was a member of Houghton Lake Eagles, Harrison Moose, American Legion and the Harley Riders for 15 years. He enjoyed working and being the handyman around the house.  

LeRoy J. DeWeese is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Susan L. DeWeese, son; Joseph J. (Lynn) DeWeese, granddaughters; Rebecca and Rachel, two great granddaughters, siblings; Robert (Sylvia) DeWeese, Gary (Lucille) Price, David (Diane) Price, Ginger (Jerry Smith) Little and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, siblings; Richard DeWeese and Dorothy Randolph.

Funeral Services for LeRoy J. DeWeese will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday November 5, 2024 from Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel with Pastor Bob DeWeese officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 5, 2024 from 12:00 pm up until the time of the service at Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville. Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
