Cadillac, Michigan - Leona May Scarbrough, of Cadillac, passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was 79.
Leona was born on May 4, 1939, in Cadillac, Michigan to Leonard and Irene Scott. She was very artistic and enjoyed crafting. In her spare time, she liked to crochet. She loved to cook meals both throughout her life as apart of her job and when her grandchildren came to visit. Leona was always very family oriented. Leona cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren and will be remembered for being a caretaker to anyone in her family.
Leona is survived by her two daughters, Janine (Gary) LaLiberte of Cadillac, and Michele (Jim) Maxwell of Manton; grandchildren, Jason Grames, Karlie Maxwell, Kameron Maxwell, Gavin Maxwell and Landon Maxwell; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Leo Scott; and many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Phillip Grames, her parents and 3 siblings.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home.
