Linda C. (Johnson) Klein

Linda Charlene Klein, 82, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday March 2, 2025 at home with her loving family by her side.

Linda was born on February 27, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Charlene (Matthew) Johnson. She grew up in the Detroit area where she graduated from high school.  Linda met Kenneth K. Klein in the Detroit area and he went off to the Army. The couple were then married on June 2, 1962 on the Army Base in New Jersey with Kenneth having 3 more years to serve.  Linda was a homemaker and mother of three children.  The couple moved from Livonia to Houghton Lake in 1995.  Linda worked for over ten years at the original Houghton Lake Walmart and then transitioned over to the Walmart Super Center.  She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, and playing bingo.  Linda also enjoyed an occasional casino trip.

Surviving Mrs.Klein are her loving husband of 62 years, Kenneth  Klein of Houghton Lake; two daughters, Charlene (William) Jolly of Farmington Hills, and Lisa (Dennis) Murphy of Livonia; son, Kenneth (Jennifer) Klein Jr. of White Lake; two granddaughters, Katie Klein, and Chrissy Jolly; four grandsons, Jeremy Klein, Michael Murphy, David Murphy, and William Jolly; sister, Denise (Mike) of FL; several nieces and nephews.  Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Carol. 

Chapel Services for Linda Charlene Klein will be conducted at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia in the spring.  Memorial contributions in memory of Linda are asked to be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.  Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
