Linda Perkins, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home on May 27, 2026, with her loving daughter, Tina Redmond, by her side.
Born on November 21, 1946, in Windsor, Ontario, Linda lived a life defined by hard work, resilience, and devotion to her family. In 1988, she and her husband, David Perkins, moved to Houghton Lake, Michigan, where together they owned and operated Edgewater Beach Marina. For many years, they welcomed visitors and friends alike, building not only a successful business but also lasting relationships within the community. They continued to work side by side until their retirement in 2005.
Linda was known for her caring nature and her willingness to help those she loved. Throughout her life, she selflessly cared for several family members during their final days, offering comfort, strength, and compassion when it was needed most. Her quiet acts of kindness and unwavering dedication to others will be remembered by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Perkins, and her daughter, Tandy Girard. Linda is survived by her daughter, Tina Redmond, and her cherished grandchildren, Tyler Sermak, Danny Redmond, and Crystal Girard, with whom she was able to spend quality time with. She is also survived by extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Though her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved and lost before her. Her legacy of love, service, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
