Lizzie I (Dinger) Gottfridson

Lizzie I. Gottfridson, age 95, of Houghton Lake passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 at home with her loving daughter by her side. 

Lizzie was born on February 7, 1927 in Oslo, Norway to Emma (Malmstrom) Dinger. She was married on September 18, 1948 in Kållered, Sweden to Gosta Gottfridson. She attended Faith Alive Church in West Branch and Philadelphia Church in Chicago. Lizzie was known for always wanting to help people and wanted to be a blessing to the people she knew.

Lizzie is survived by her daughters; Ann-Britt (Per-Olof) Hasselgren of Boston, Massachusetts and Lise (Willis) Pilman of Houghton Lake,  grandchildren; Tobias (Lauren) Hasselgren, Sofia (Bill) Brady, Juliana (Michael) Kozak, Joshua (Jennifer) Pilman, Jessica (Seth) Curran, Jason (Jilian) Pilman and Jennifer (Zack) Uidl, twenty four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Gosta Gottfridson and two sisters; Mary Anne (Ahde) Berkland and Bitten (Gregers) Lodrup.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday September 24, 2022 at 11:30am at Faith Alive Church located at 2945 Hansen Rd., West Branch, Michigan 48661. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Give 2 Give Hope, P.O. Box 611 West branch, MI 48661.
