Loraine Edith (Foulkes) Meyer

Loraine Edith Meyer, 78, of  Prudenville passed away on Friday September 3, 2021 at King Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, Houghton Lake.

Loraine was born on January 21, 1943 in Ferndale, Michigan to Robert and Nadene (Bond) Foulkes. She grew up in the Ferndale and Royal Oak areas where she graduated from high school and attended college. Loraine worked as a Receptionist for many years in a dental office in Birmingham.  On August 2, 1980 in Royal Oak, Loraine was married to Robert Vernon  Meyer. The couple moved to Houghton Lake shortly after their marriage in 1980.  Loraine enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Her special love was spending time with her beloved husband, Robert.

Surviving Mrs. Meyer are her loving husband of 41 years, Robert Vernon Meyer of Prudenville; brother, Richard (Eliza) Foulkes of Australia; sister, Shirley Sills of Sterling Heights: several nieces and nephews.  Loraine was preceded in death by her parents; sister; Evelyn and brother, Robert. 

At the request of Mrs. Meyer there will be no services.  Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.  Memorial contributions in memory of Loraine are asked to be directed to the American Lung Association.
