Marilyn M (Smith) Robb

Marilyn M. Robb, age 81, of Houghton Lake passed away on Thursday January 2, 2025 at Mission Point of Roscommon with her loving family by her side.

Marilyn was born on April 10, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to Ralph Smith and Jean Bruso. She was married on January 28, 1964 to Walter Robb. The couple moved from Algonac Michigan to Houghton Lake in 1989 and purchased the Long Branch Saloon. Marilyn enjoyed reading, crafting, decorating and tending to her beautiful flower beds. She was a fabulous cook and an excellent seamstress. Marilyn had a love for country music, especially Keith Urban. During the football season you would find her cheering on the Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints with family and friends. She loved her family deeply and especially adored her grandson, Joey.  

Marilyn is survived by her loving children; Joseph Robb of Houghton Lake, William  Robb of Mt. Clemens, and Kellie (AJ) Fischer of Houghton Lake, grandson; William "Joey" (Lindsie) Robb, step-granddaughters; Kennedy and Kourtney Fischer, great granddaughter Lemmy Robb; sister; Karen (Donny) Wilson, brothers; Arthur Snell and Richard Snell, several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband; Walter Robb.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday January 12, 2025 at Houghton Lake Eagles from 12 pm until 4 pm. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery at a later date.
