Obituary

Marilyn V. Stephan, age 89, of Traverse City, passed away on September 20, 2022 at the Medilodge of Grand Traverse County in Traverse City with family at her side.

Marilyn was born in Traverse City on December 9, 1932 to Harry and Lucille Mintling.

She was united in marriage to Ronald Stephan on November 21, 1954. Ron preceded her in death in 1969.

Marilyn was a graduate of Lake City High School in 1950. She received her teaching degree from Western University in Kalamazoo and taught school in Merritt and Traverse City.  Marilyn was also employed at Prevos Grocery Store in Traverse City for several years.

She is survived by a daughter, Tami Sue (Tom Jach) Stephan of Traverse City and one granddaughter, Lydia Candey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ron and a daughter, Lynne Candey in 2007.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at the Lake City Cemetery.
