Marilyn Kay Welch

Marilyn Kay Welch, of Marion, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 at North Woods Nursing Center in Farwell, Michigan. She was 69 years old.

Marilyn was born on June 1, 1956 in Saint Johns, Michigan to Delbert Charles and Edwina Grace (Manning) Welch. She was a graduate of Winter Haven, Florida High School, Class of 1974. After completing high school, Marilyn went on to receive a Bachelor's of Science from Ferris State University. She spent her career working as a computer programmer and quality control for Avon Protection Systems in Cadillac, until her time of retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed shooting pool on her women's pool league. She enjoyed being outdoors going kayaking and fishing with her friends. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family. 

Marilyn is survived by her loving son, James Welch of Buna, Texas; brother,  Chuck (Sue) Welch of Saint Johns, James (Jewel) Welch of Marion, and Roger (Kenda) Welch of Marion; several nieces and nephews, and many other loving family and friends.
  
She was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert and Edwina.
  
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
