Mark Edward Hubbard

Mark Edward Hubbard, age 52 of Lake City, passed away September 24, 2022 at Munson Healthcare, Cadillac Hospital with family by his side.

Mark was born January 1, 1970 in Grayling to George and Bonnie (Ohman) Hubbard.

Mark was a special child and enjoyed time spent with his loving family and friends. He thoroughly loved  playing “Hoopit” (basketball) and was  physically mobile to shoot the ball as much as he wanted. His favorite words were “All done!”

Mark had a special interest in watching heavy duty equipment in action, carnival rides, and going for car rides. He loved riding the school bus and especially enjoyed eating.

Mark is survived by his father, George Hubbard of Lake City and his siblings, George (Rosa) Hubbard Jr, James (Cathy) Hubbard, Rebecca VanderMeulen, Nancy (Lloyd) LaFave, Loretta (Betsy Clark) Hubbard, John Hubbard, and Carol (Ernest) Wright and many nieces and nephews and friends.

Mark was lovingly cared for by Aimee Shurlow and Shur Care AFC and staff and the family appreciates all their excellent care over the last several years. He was loved and cared for by many people in the community and beyond throughout his life.

Mark was preceded in death by a nephew, Troy Hubbard and his mother, Bonnie.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Robert Benson officiating.  A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until services. Burial will take place in the Lake City Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to “Youth of His Message” in care of the Manton Seventh Day Adventist Church.
