Martha J. Skraba went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at her home in Lake City, Michigan.
She was born on January 29, 1934 in Manton, Michigan to her parents, Carl and Bertha (Burkholder) Wilson. Martha grew up on farms in Manton, Marilla, Quincy and Lake City. After completing high school in Lake City, Martha went on to train as a lab technician in Saginaw. It was during this time that she met Peter Bruno Skraba. The couple married on January 3, 1959. Pete and Martha built a home in Lake City and she worked as a lab tech for Mercy Hospital in Cadillac for forty years. She was a beloved figure and co-worker at the hospital. It was there that she became a mentor and dear friend to many, several of whom remained life long friends. Pete and Martha enjoyed hosting the Burkholder family reunion each summer for many years. Martha was blessed with the gift of loving care in her home from Leasa, Marie and Rose during the last six years of her life.
Martha is survived by special child, Mitchell Ingleright; God child, Morgan Morgan; nieces and nephews; Chip and Mary, Janice, and David and Dawn; numerous great nieces and nephews; long time friend, Linda Corp, who was like a daughter to her; and special friend, Kathi Lerg.
