Mary Catherine (Bakara) Williams

Mary C. Williams, age 83, of Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday October 13, 2024 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City.

Mary was born on July 15, 1941 in Highland Park, Michigan to Aurelio and Betty (Pruett) DiMaria. She was a sales representative for the Buyer's Guide for many years before retiring. Mary was married in Phoenix, Arizona in 1996 to Paul J. Williams. She was a former volunteer for the Relay for Life, an avid cat lover, and always wanted to be helping someone. Mary’s friends at the senior center were extremely important to her and part of her family. She was a friend to many and will be greatly missed

Mary is survived by her children; David (Malinda) Bakara of Ellijay, Georgia, Mark (Nancy) Bakara of Sarasota, Florida, Alice (Scott) Bakara of Oxford and Mary Boals of Prudenville, grandchildren; Sierra, Bailey, Morgan, Thomas, Rachel, Emily, Matthew, Michael and Mason, nineteen great grandchildren, brothers; Jim (Julie) DiMaria of Arizona and Paul (Jan) DiMaria of Romulus. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; Paul J. Williams.
