Melvin Timothy Coger

Melvin Timothy Coger, of Mesick, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Medilodge of Grand Traverse County in Traverse City, Michigan. He was 70.

Melvin was born on April 17, 1955 to Dewey and Gertrude (Gibson) Coger in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He loved being outdoors, especially going fishing. He looked forward to visiting his sisters house whether it was for the holidays, or just to come over and hangout with his two great-nephews. He cherished the time spent with his family and friends. 
  
Melvin is survived by his siblings, Karen (Steve) Barnes of Copemish, Valerie (Johnny) Casto of Mesick, Jerry (Angie) Coger of Mesick, and Barb Reneker of Traverse City; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Gertrude Coger; and a niece, Joleen Potter.
  
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
