Michael Monhead

Michael Monhead, of Cadillac, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He was 35.

Mike was born on January 11, 1990 in Traverse City, Michigan to Shane McCoy and Tammy Monhead. He was a graduate of Cadillac High School, Class of 2008. In his spare time, he enjoyed going for rides cruising around, especially if the trip included going out to a restaurant. He enjoyed buying cars, fixing them up, and reselling them, which he became very successful at. He was an avid collector of all things Chucky throughout the years and had countless figurines, shirts, and other collectables. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he dearly loved.

Mike is survived by his loving parents, mother, Tammy Zeestraten (Matt Bonnell) ; father, Shane (Belinda) McCoy; siblings, Blake Monhead, Bob Zeestraten, Duane (Taiylor) Zeestraten, Kearsty McCoy, and Brian McCoy; nieces and nephews, Presley, Haven, Brodey, Korbyn, Blaykleigh, and Asia; uncle, Billy (Jodi) Monhead; aunt, Lisa (Jimmie) Norton; and many other loving family and friends.
  
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melvin and Sue McCoy; grandmother, Doris Monhead; and step-father, Robert Martin Zeestraten. 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at 1 p.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Clam Lake Township Cemetery.
