Nancy Victoria (Wiinikainen) Sabol

Nancy Victoria Sabol , age 83 of Lake City passed away Monday, May 6, 2019 at her home.

She was born February 9, 1936 in Barnstable, MA to Victor and Mary (Syriala)

Wiinikainen. 

Nancy married Robert M. Sabol July 2, 1955 in Cape Cod, MA. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Nancy enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, driving tractor and watching wildlife.

She was an animal lover and was a caretaker of horses.  She enjoyed playing cards with her family.  Nancy was a member of the Cadillac Emmanuel Lutheran Church.

Nancy is survived by her children Janice Norman of Lake City and Paul (Deborah) Sabol of Allen Park, and grandchildren Jennifer (Lance) Keely, Stephanie (Daniel) Sampson, Rebecca Sabol, Michelle (Enrique) Paz, and Hannah (Phillip) Pearson and great grandchildren: Carter Keely, Peyton and Daniel Sampson and Kari and Elena Paz.  She is also survived by her brother Victor “Sonny” (Patricia) Wiinikainen of Barnstable, MA.

Nancy was also preceded in death by her parents and sister Sally Syriala.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019 at the Cadillac Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. Ted Turanski officiating. 

A time of visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on  Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the

Young-Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City.
