Nedra Rose Anton

Nedra Rose Anton, age 78 of Lake City, passed away March 21, 2026 at the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Nedra was born August 6, 1947 in Cadillac to Ned and Nellie (Pickering) Simons.

She was united in marriage to Douglas A. Anton on November 4, 2015 in Lake City.

Nedra graduated from Warren Fitzgerald High School in Warren, Michigan and became a registered nurse and had the amazing ability to work with hospice patients.

She loved to line dance and loved animals. Nedra loved her husband, Doug and loved living in Lake City and was involved in the Lake City Eagles, Moose Lodge in Cadillac and the Lake City American Legion Post 300.

She is survived by her loving husband, Douglas, two granddaughters, Casondra and Kelsey and four great granddaughters, Lillian, Allison, Addy and Ally. She is also survived by two brothers, Nicky (Linda) Simons and Norris (Linda) Simons and two sisters, Nolita (Kevin) Carlson and Nanette Wachowski.

Nedra was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Dwayne Clark and a brother, Nevin Simons.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 2:00 pm, at the Young- Holdship Funeral Home in Lake City with Pastor Jim Noggle officiating. A time of visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until service time.

Burial will take place in the spring at the Lake City Cemetery.
