Pamela Bredahl Obituary

Manton – Pamela Sue (Bartz) Bredahl of Manton passed away unexpectedly as she peacefully went to sleep on Friday, December 26, 2025, while at home. She was 63. Her passing marks the loss of a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose warmth and dedication touched many lives. Pam leaves behind a legacy rooted deeply in love, kindness, and family. Her life was defined by the people she cared for and the quiet, steady way she showed up for others every single day.

Pam was born on December 16, 1962, in Traverse City, Michigan to Henry and Mary Ann (Steinebach) Bartz. Raised on the family farm alongside her siblings, Pam developed deep family roots that remained central to her life.

On October 6, 1984, Pamela entered into marriage with Stephen Faunce Bredahl, a union to her very best friend that spanned the next 41 years. Together, Steve and Pam raised their daughter Allison (Bredahl) Barnhart and later warmly welcomed son-in-law Ryan Barnhart into their family in 2016. Pam’s greatest joy was being a grandmother to Grant Barnhart, born in 2020; she shared a special bond with him and cherished every moment spent together. Family was truly the heart of Pam’s world.

For over three decades, Pam dedicated herself to her work at Dental Health Professionals in Cadillac. There she not only contributed professionally but also built lasting friendships with colleagues who became like extended family.

Pam had a natural instinct for caring for others. Whether it was family, friends, or someone she had just met, she was often found helping, nurturing, and putting the needs of others before her own. Her kindness was effortless and genuine, offered freely to everyone she encountered. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for, no matter how small the interaction. Her love lives on in the memories she created, the lives she touched, and the family she held so close to her heart.

Pamela is survived by her husband, Steve Bredahl of Manton; daughter, Allison (Ryan) Barnhart of Milford; her beloved grandson, Grant Barnhart; her father, Henry Bartz; three siblings, Greg (Mary) Bartz, Rebecca (Joe) Young, and Kevin (Cindy) Bartz; as well as many other loving family members, friends, co-workers, and countless others whose lives are better for having known her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Bartz, and a brother in infancy, Thomas Bartz.

Pam’s legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely to those around her. May her memory bring comfort to her family and all who knew her.
