Patricia Park Obituary

Patricia  Mary Park, 84, of  Houghton Lake, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at home with her loving family by her side.

Patricia was born on September 17, 1941, in Grosse Point, Michigan to Martin and Mary (Cox) Lietke. She grew up in the Lake Orion area, where she graduated from Lake Orion High School Class of 1959.  In 1981, Patricia and her family moved to Grayling from Lake Orion. On April 26, 1986, the opening day of Trout Season,  in Missaukee County, at Little Cannon Creek, Patricia was married to Burdette L. "Jappy" Park. Pat worked as a Deputy Clerk/Matron for the Crawford County Sheriff's Dept. until retiring in 1998.  The couple moved to Houghton Lake over 10 years ago.  Faith and family were Pat's top priorities. She enjoyed spending time at their cabin, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, cloud gazing, dogs, and snuggling her grandbabies.  

Surviving Mrs.Park are her brother, Michael Lietke of Lapeer;  two daughters, Tammy (Rick) Eldred of Houghton Lake, and Sandy (Terry) Heckerthorn of Mattawan; son, Dan (David) May of Bellaire; two step daughters, Valerie (Harold) Marsh of Lansing, and Angie (Tim) Cargill of Manton; two step sons, Rod (Stephanie) Park of Lake City, and Shawn Park of Manton; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren plus several nieces and nephews.  Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, infant daughter, Angel May; brother, Marty Lietke, and two sisters, Julie Lietke, and Carolyn Burnia-Mickalacki.

Funeral Services for Patricia Mary Park will be conducted at 11:00 am on Sunday, April 26, 2026 (with visitation from 10-11) at Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel with Chaplain Doug Klee officiating. Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Missaukee County, at a later date.   Memorial contributions in memory of Patricia are asked to be directed to Munson Hospice or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
