Patti Weiss Obituary

Patti Jean Weiss, 74, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Saturday December 13, 2025 at her home.

Patti was born on August 22, 1951 in Highland Park, Michigan to Robert and Lorraine (Rose) Schiele. She grew up in the Detroit area where she graduated from Henry Ford High School. On April 11, 1970 in Detroit, Patti was married to Michael Marshall Weiss. The couple had a home at Houghton Lake since 1972 and made Houghton Lake their permanent home 15 years ago, when they moved up from South Lyon. Patti worked in business accounting for Snap on Tools and H.& R. Block. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting.  Patti's special love was spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and her beloved Michael..

Surviving Mrs.Weiss are her loving husband of 55 years, Michael Marshall Weiss of Houghton Lake; two daughters, Tina (Michael) Danes of Houghton Lake, and Kimberly (Brian) Markiewicz of South Lyon; son, Michael (Patty) Weiss of Fenton; five grandchildren, Trevor Weiss, Chloe Weiss, Brian Markiewicz, Jason Markiewicz, and Savanah Danes; nieces and nephews.  Patti was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Madison Markiewicz; sister, Nancy Schiele; and brother, Robert Schiele. 

A Celebration of Life Service for Patti Jean Weiss will be conducted at a later date.  Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. Memorial contributions in memory of Patti are asked to be directed to St Jude Children's Hospital. Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
