Paul Iverson Obituary

Paul Olaf Iverson, 91, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Thursday May 29, 2025 at home with his loving family by his side.

Paul was born on February 17, 1934 in Ann Arbor to Ingolf and Elida (Hauger) Iverson. He grew up in Michigan and then in Minnesota where he graduated from high school at Pillsbury Academy in Owatonna, Minnesota.  Paul worked as a Technician and Supervisor for AT&T and Ameritech for many years before his retirement. He was married on October 2, 1982 in Appleton, Wisconsin to Sharon Kaye Enderson. The couple traveled throughout Michigan, living in different areas as his work assignments changed.  They settled in Houghton Lake in 1994 coming from Traverse City.  The area they moved to on Houghton Lake was where Paul's father had originally built a cabin back in the 1950's.  Paul was a jokester and had a great sense of humor.  He enjoyed being outdoors and participated in hunting, fishing, golfing and snowmobiling.  In his younger years he had been a Boy Scout Leader in the Ann Arbor area.

Surviving Mr. Iverson are his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon Iverson of Houghton Lake; daughter, Kelli (JIm) Grenoble of Grass Lake; two sons, Jeff Iverson of Grass Lake, and Judd (Carroll) Iverson of Gregory; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers.
