Cadillac, Michigan - Paul Frederick Lipke of Harrietta, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. He was 74. Paul was greatly loved by his wife, children and grandchildren and will be missed by many.
Paul was born on April 7, 1944 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to William and Audrey (Hodge) Lipke. He was the oldest of five children and grew up next to the sawmill his father owned and operated. He entered into marriage with the former Camille Boehle on June 15, 1985 in Harrietta, Michigan. Paul loved classic cars, classic westerns, and music from the 50’s and 60’s. He was quick to make conversation with strangers and share life stories and lessons. Paul fought esophageal junction cancer valiantly for over three years before he lost his battle.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Camille Lipke of Harrietta; three children, Melissa (Chuck) Southern of Lima, Ohio, Roberta (Mike) Wadle of Wolverine Lake, and son Paul Lipke of Cadillac; eight beloved grandchildren; brother Tom (Susan) Lipke of Harrietta; two sisters, Sue-Ann Cook of Cadillac and Zeta Hubbard of Cadillac; seven brothers-in-law; five sisters- in-law; numerous adored nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, William and Audrey Lipke; sister, Debra; sister-in-law, Carla Walsh; and brother-in-law Kenneth Paul Dohms.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Revival Center in Cadillac at 12 noon with visitation held one hour prior. Officiating will be Pastor William Markham. A luncheon will immediately follow the funeral and a committal service take place following the luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, it was Paul’s wish that donations may be directed to the Revival Centers Food Pantry.
