Paul Murray Vance, 63, of  Prudenville passed away on Friday September 24, 2021 at home with his loving family by his side.

Paul was born on June 23, 1958 in Trenton, Michigan to Paul and Frances (Huffman) Vance. He grew up in the Belleville area where he attended school.  Paul then served in the Army.  Paul was married on July 31, 1979 in Belleville to Diana Luann Bailey.  The couple moved from Belleville to Houghton Lake in 1990. He worked as a builder for several years in the Houghton Lake area. Paul was a former member of the Houghton Lake Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed the outdoors, snowmobiling, four wheeling, boating, and fishing.

Surviving Mr. Vance are his loving wife of 42 years, Diana Luann Vance of Prudenville; daughter, Danyell Stern of Prudenville; five grandchildren, Dominick Stern, Savannah Stern, Darren Stern, Jacob Wellman, and Victoria Wellman; great granddaughter, Aureliana Stern; sister, Pam (Cookie) Kinzel of Belleville; several nieces and nephews.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Paula Vance, and Polly Ann Little. 

Private family Celebration of Life Services for Paul Murray Vance will be held.  Memorial contributions in memory of Paul are asked to be directed to the family.  Christler Funeral Home, Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
