Penny Marie (Godfrey) Flores

Penny M Flores, 67, of  Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday September 21, 2025 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City..

Penny was born on October 19, 1957 in Owosso, Michigan to Lyle  and Leah (Selfridge) Harris. Penny grew up and attended school in Owosso.  She lived in Florida and Owosso before moving to the Houghton Lake area 40 years ago.  Penny worked in Home Health Care for 16 years on the North Shore of Houghton Lake. She had also worked at Save - A- Lot and Admiral in Houghton Lake.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and her special long time friend Paul White, who preceded her in death. 

Surviving Penny Flores are her two sisters, Pat Fondren of Chesaning and Elsie Godfrey of Owosso; two brothers, Edward Godfrey of Houghton Lake, and Tommy and Charlotte Godfrey of Brant; several nieces and nephews.  Penny was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Novel, Beverly, and Linda. 

At the request of Penny Flores there will be no services.  Memorial contributions in memory of Penny are asked to be directed to the family. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
