Phyllis Cora Michele Vanderhoof

Traverse City, Michigan - Phyllis Cora Michele Vanderhoof, of Marion passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Munson Medical Center. She was 66.

Phyllis was born on April 27, 1952, in Romulus, Michigan to Herbert and Josephine (Beebe) Vanderhoof. She spent her career working on the pipelines for many years. Phyllis enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden. She was proud of her faith and attended church. Phyllis loved to bake and was known for her famous homemade fudge. She spent many holidays having bake-offs with her family. Her many cats were her most fond companions. Phyllis cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her two children, Robert Vanderhoof and Angie (Shawn) Maxwell; three grandchildren, Kodie (Amanda Brandt) Maxwell, Sabrina McKay and Hunter Maxwell; one great-grandchild, Jessie Maxwell; siblings, Kathie York, Joseph (Gail) Vanderhoof, Linda (Orlan) England and Wanda Johnson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Josephine; three brothers, Spencer Vanderhoof, Daniel Vanderhoof and Willard Vanderhoof; and a sister, Lauretha Riggelman.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation held one hour prior at Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Maple Valley Cemetery in Hartwick Township.
