Richard J. Greenwald

Richard J. Greenwald, age 85, of Prudenville passed away on Monday November 13, 2023 at Munson Hospice House in Traverse City.

Richard was born on December 23, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan to Melvin and Norma (Richardson) Greenwald. He was a machine operator for Ford Motor Company. Richard would come to the Prudenville area often but moved here permanently after his retirement. He enjoyed traveling to Whitefish Point, bird watching, reading, duck hunting and fly fishing. He enjoyed being outdoors.  

Richard is survived by his daughters; Michele (Brandon) Loiselle and Meghan (Paul) Schulte, grandchildren; Morgan, Brady, Audrey and Bailey, sister; Susan (David) Cornell, nephews; Nathan (Carissa Savage) Cornell and William (Kate) Cornell, great niece; Ila and great nephew; Ryan. He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Funeral Services for Richard Greenwald will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday November 21, 2023 from Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel with Rev. Kevin Harbin officiating. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 21, 2023 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
