Richard C. Maury

Richard C. "Dick" Maury, of Cadillac, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2024 in Ocala, Florida. He was 88.

Dick was born on July 2, 1936 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Charles White Maury and Rosella Borgia (Steele) Maury. He was a graduate of St. Augustine High School in Kalamazoo, where he met the love of his life Barbara. He entered into marriage with Barbara J. Fries on September 3, 1954 in Kalamazoo. The couple spent 52 years together, until her time of passing on February 27, 2006. Dick owned and operated the Cadillac Party Lounge for many years, working alongside his wife and children. He enjoyed serving the Cadillac community and made countless friends throughout the years. He loved being with his grandchildren, family and enjoyed spending time at his lake house. Dick looked forward to his time wintering in Florida. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching sports, especially Norte Dame, the Fighting Irish.
  
Dick is survived by his loving children, Michael (Sherry) Maury, Kelly Maury, Kevin Maury, and Michele (Bruce) Snider; grandchildren, 14; great-grandchildren, 12; brother, Ted (Rosie) Maury; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara; his parents, Charles and Rosella; son, Patrick; brothers, Robert, William and Michael.
  
Private family services will take place and interment will be held at Mount Carmel Cemetery alongside his wife, Barbara.  Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.
