Rita Marie Johnson

Rita Marie Johnson, of Manton, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital. She was 81

Rita was born on June 30, 1943 to Joseph and Sophie (Ziaya) Rodak in Twining, Michigan. On  December 17, 1984 she entered into marriage with Jim Johnson in Manton. The couple spent almost 10 years together, until his time of passing in 1993. Rita enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved watching and feeding the deer and birds around her property. Rita had a special place in her heart for her cats, and even took care of the strays as well. She loved animals of all kinds. Rita cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
  
Rita is survived by her loving sons, Richard (Judy) Roys Jr. of Kalkaska and Jerome (Anita) Roys of Lake; grandchildren, Craig (Mandy) Roys, Jason (Krystin) Roys, Zachary (Brooke) Roys, Angela (Kurtis) Schwager, and Erica (Scott) Russo; great-grandchildren, Todd, Reggie, Jane Meadow, Travis, Tyler, Oden, and Ember; brothers, Jerry (Karen) Dudek, Ed Rodek, and Jim (Deb) Rodek; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
  
She was preceded in death by her son, Vincent Edward Roys; grandson, Richard Roys III; sister, Irene Traub; and parents, Joseph and Sopie Rodak.
     
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
