Robert William Cline, of Lake City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at his home in Lake City, Michigan, surrounded by his loving family. He was 90 years old.
Bob was born on August 8, 1935, in Dearborn, Michigan, to Earl and Leota (Phillips) Cline. At the age of 10, he moved with his parents to California, where he spent most of his life. After graduating from high school, Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years.
Following his military service, Bob began a career with Pennwalt Corporation in Pasadena, California. He remained with the company for more than 50 years before retiring in 2000, a testament to his dedication and strong work ethic.
On August 28, 1971, Bob married the love of his life, Nancy Allen, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they built a life filled with love and laughter before eventually relocating to Lake City, Michigan. They loved spending time together on the deck overlooking the lake, sharing drinks with friends and spoiling their dogs. Bob’s best friend, Jake the Corgi, could always talk Bob into a snack or two.
Bob was a devoted husband, father, and son. He faithfully stayed connected with his family, making weekly phone calls to his mother and daughters. More than anything, he loved being surrounded by family and friends, sharing good conversation, telling jokes, creating lasting memories, and enjoying a round of golf whenever he could.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 55 years, Nancy Cline of Lake City; two daughters, Shelli Cline of California and Julie Cline of Arizona.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Leota Jenks.
