Robert "Bob" J. Kasik

Robert “Bob” J. Kasik, age 90, of Roscommon, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City with his loving family by his side.

Bob was born on March 10, 1935, in Owosso, Michigan, to John and Anna (Skaryd) Kasik. He was married on June 22, 1957, in Elsie, Michigan, to Janice J. Hehrer. Bob started working as an apprentice with GTE through Owosso High School. After his apprenticeship, he began working full-time as a telephone repair technician in the Owosso area. He was later transferred to Mio, then to Roscommon, and retired in 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Bob enjoyed harvesting trees on his property and used his sawmill to build several pieces of furniture for his home and for other family members.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Janice J. Kasik; his children, Teresa Daley and John (Janice) Kasik; his grandson, Ryan (Kristina) Kasik; and his great-grandchild, Kai. He is also survived by his sister, Jeanette Delaney, and brother-in-law, Don Hudecek. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Genevive Ann, sister, Mary Jane Hudecek, and brother-in-law, Bill Delaney.

Per Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
