Robert "Bobby Z." Zwierzelewski Jr.

Robert "Bobby Z" Zwierzelewski Jr., age 36, of Houghton Lake passed away on Wednesday November 10, 2021 at home.

Robert was born on June 6, 1985 in Detroit, Michigan  He was the son of Robert and Cheryl (Victory) Zwierzelewski Sr.. He was married on November 12, 2017 to Amber Russo in Houghton Lake, Michigan. The couple started dating November 12, 2009. Robert was an EMT for the Houghton Lake Ambulance, he worked for MidMichigan Medical Center-West Branch Hospital where he was an ER Tech and MMR out of Grayling. He was a firefighter for Roscommon Township Fire Department and Lake Township Fire Department and he was certified in Ice Rescue and Hazmat. While on the fire department Robert taught many of the firefighter classes and became a mentor to many. He cooked for the long hours for the Lake Township Fire Department OX Roast for many years, and took great pride in it. Robert really enjoyed his work and the people that he worked with. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, camping and cooking, most of all he enjoyed spending time with his sons. 

Robert leaves behind the love of his life, his wife; Amber Zwierzelewski, 8 year old son; Gavin and 5 year old son;  Remington, parents; Robert (Cheryl) Zwierzelewski Sr., his in-laws; David (Cindy) Russo, brother-in-law; David (Kirstie) Russo Jr., nephew; Marley, niece; Kellynn and several uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother; Freddie Munoz, paternal grandparents; Ben (Ilene) Zwierzelewski and maternal grandparents; James (Peggy) Victory.  

Funeral Services for Bobby Z. will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Wednesday November 17, 2021 from Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 17, 2021 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. In-lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Bobby Z. are asked to be directed to the family. Christler Funeral Home-Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com    Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, masks covering the mouth and nose will be required, social distancing will be observed.   Masks will be required and there are no exceptions.
