Roberta "Bobbi" Ann McLain, age 84, of Prudenville, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.
Bobbi was born on September 18, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to James and Ruth (Pollock) Easter Jr. She grew up in Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. She later attended college in Denver, Colorado. Bobbi was hired by United Airlines as a flight attendant. She married Fred Deaner in 1963, and the couple had a beautiful daughter, Kimberli. Bobbi continued her career as a flight attendant for Wright Airlines in Cleveland, Ohio. Eventually, she moved to West Branch, Michigan, with her daughter and parents. She attended the Nursing Program at Kirtland Community College, earning her nursing degree. Her career in nursing was something that she loved. She married Morry McLain in 1985. The couple enjoyed boating on the Great Lakes and visiting their place in Northern Michigan. Bobbi was a member of the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church and loved her church family; they were such a blessing to her. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden, watching the birds, and listening to music.
Bobbi is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Morry McLain, daughter, Kimberli (Don) LeForce; step-son, Brad (Charlotte) McLain; and step-daughter, Michele (Chris) Anderson; seven wonderful grandchildren and three great-grandsons, two step-grandsons, many nieces and nephews; she dearly loved them all. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, James B. Easter III, and sister, Cathi Green.
Per Bobbi's wishes, cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be held in the spring. Interment will be in Denton Township Cemetery, Prudenville. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family. Condolences can be sent to the family online at www.christler-holdship.com
