Roger Duane Kimbel, lifelong resident of Manton, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025 at his home with family by his side. He was 72.
Roger was born on August 16, 1953 to Donald and Arlene (McCuaig) Kimbel in Cadillac, Michigan. He spent his career working various jobs in the carpentry and masonry industry. In 1979 he entered into marriage with the former Jean Ahern in Nevada. Roger was a talented handyman and could almost always be found tinkering around with a project. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outside going hunting and fishing. He liked listening to music, as well as even playing music from time to time. Above all he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jean Kimbel; children, Paul (Alicia) Kimbel, Eric Kimbel, and Arron (Tarin) Kimbel; grandchildren, Madiline, Daisy, Eve, Maple, Keeley, Ben, Lily, Elizabeth, Wyatt, Damon and Henry; mother, Arlene Kimbel; siblings, Gordon (Linda) Kimbel, Carolyn (Sam) Knott, Gerry (Connie) Kimbel, Jeff Kimbel, Richard Kimbel, John (Lesa) Kimbel, and Daniel Kimbel; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Kimbel; and a sister-in-law, Judy Kimbel.
A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Hall-Holdship Funeral Home.
