Obituary
Rollin (Butch) Kennedy, age 76 of Merritt, passed away September 3, 2022 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.
Butch was born December 2, 1945 in Mt. Morris to Leola and Elmira (Gray) Kennedy.
He was united in marriage to Janice Remilong on October 10, 1981 at Goose Creek Trail Camp.
Butch was a self-employed automobile mechanic and loved helping his neighbors and friends. He was a jack of all trades and loved his job.
Butch loved horses and horseback riding. Enjoying two o’clock coffee with the guys was a ritual for him and he also enjoyed playing Texas Hold-Em with good friends.
He loved his kids and grandkids.
Butch is survived by his wife Janice, two sons, Dan Kennedy and Wes (Kim) Kennedy and his dog, River. He will also be missed by two grandchildren, Jess (Cristal) and Kali and two great grandchildren, Havana and Lily and two brothers, Clarence and Darwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Merritt-Butterfield United Methodist Church in Merritt.
