Rose A. Cooper, age 77, of Prudenville passed away on Monday November 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.
Rose was born on June 17, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to Eugene and Bertha Stewart. She was a RN for over 30 years before retiring from McLaren Hospital. Rose was married on June 4, 1966 in Flint, Michigan to Clarence "Dale" Cooper. She was a member of the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church where she was very active for many years. Rose enjoyed horseback riding and raising American Quarter Horses with her husband, she was a wonderful seamstress. Rose was very artistic and would often participate in various craft shows.
Rose is survived by her loving husband of 58 years; Dale Cooper of Prudenville, son; John Cooper of Prudenville, several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Genie Glenn and Suzie Stewart.
A Memorial Service for Rose will be conducted at 3 pm on Friday December 6, 2024 from the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church with Rev. Bryan Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Avondale Cemetery, Hartwick Twp. at a later date. The family will greet friends at the church on Friday December 6, 2024 from 2 pm until the time of the service. Memorial contributions in memory of Rose are asked to be directed to the Houghton Lake Wesleyan Church. Christler Funeral Home-Prudenville Chapel is serving the family.
