Roxanne Lillian Payne

Roxanne Lillian Payne, 58, of  Houghton Lake passed away suddenly on Thursday April 7, 2022, at her home.

Roxanne was born on October 17, 1963 in Flint, Michigan to Luren and Marlyne (Olsen) Dickinson. Roxanne was well known in her community. She was always a friendly and familiar face working as a Clerk at the local Dollar Tree and Walmart. Roxanne was married on August 16, 1986 to Jeffery Payne. They celebrated 37 years in 2021. Roxanne was a social butterfly. She always went out of her way to make friendly conversation and take interest in others. She is fondly remembered as being outgoing, and likeable. Along with being an avid elephant collector, she loved the color pink. She loved her family and her collection of friends, always celebrating holidays with the ones she loved, her family and her dogs (Lacy and Hunter), and her birds.

Surviving Roxanne are her loving husband of 37 years, Jeffery Payne of Houghton Lake; daughter, Angie (Derek Doty) Boring; son, Jeffery Payne; grandchildren, Kiera, Silas, Landon; two sisters, Wendy Olsen, and Heidi (Marc) Wykoff; three nieces, Tabatha, Merissa, Morgan; and nephew, Zach. Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. 

A visitation for Roxanne Payne will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at Christler Funeral Home - Prudenville Chapel, 1471 W. Houghton Lake Dr. Prudenville, MI 48651 from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Memorial contributions in memory of Roxanne are asked to be directed to the family to assist with funeral costs. Christler Funeral Home, Houghton Lake Chapel is serving the family.
