Ruth Ann (Yarnall) Fisher

Ruth Ann Fisher, age 73, of Houghton Lake passed away on Friday May 14, 2021 at Horizon Senior Living Center in Gladwin. 

Ruth was born on November 22, 1947 in Grayling, Michigan to Cleon and Gladys (Jones) Yarnall. She graduated from Houghton Lake High School. Ruth lived in Houghton Lake all of her life, same as her parents did. She retired from Glens of Houghton Lake after 30 years. She also had worked at Carters of Houghton Lake 10 years prior. Glens was like a second home. Ruth was a member of the Houghton Lake Eagles, Houghton Lake Moose and Houghton Lake Senior Center. She enjoyed woodworking, crafting, crocheting, she would call BINGO at the Senior Center, her special love was Square Dancing and calling Square Dancing. Ruth was always there to help out anyone that needed her no matter what. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends. 

Ruth is survived by her daughter; Lisa Ann (Dave) Putman, grandsons; Phillip Hency and Zachary Hency, sister-in-law; Yvonne Yarnall of Houghton Lake, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandmother; Mildred Cook Yarnell and brother; Floyd P. Yarnall. 

Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Roscommon Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Ruth are asked to be directed to Roscommon County Meals on Wheels Program.
