Sally Jay Norman, of Manton, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at her home with her family by her side. She was 87 years young.

Sally was born on August 21, 1938 to Jay and Wanda (Tremain) Hammer in Kingsley, Michigan. Sally was a proud graduate of  Manton High School, Class of 1956. She continued her education attending Northwestern Michigan College. She dedicated over 27 years of her career working as a bookkeeper/office manager for Coffey Insurance Agency and Lakeview Lutheran Manor. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment. On September 7, 1957 she was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart, Dallas Duane Norman. Together in Manton they lovingly raised three children, Sherri Marie, Perry Duane, and Merri Jo. In 2000 Sally and Dallas realized their dream of building a new home on their tree farm east of Manton. The couple shared 47 years of marriage before Dallas’s passing in 2004. Sally later found love again and married Robert “Bob” MacDonald in 2010. They spent 10 happy years traveling together until his time of passing in 2020. The last 3 years of her life, she found companionship and enjoyment with her dear loving friend, Caroll Harger. Together they shared an active life bowling, dancing, and attending community events. She was devout in her faith and served multiple positions for Gilbert Trinity Lutheran Church in Manton over many years. Sally understood the importance of education. She served on the Manton School Board for 8 years. Sally will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her kindness, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life.
