Sarah Wolf Obituary

Boon - Sarah L. Wolf, of Boon, formerly of Cadillac, passed away at home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was 84.

She was born on April 9, 1942, in Houghton Lake, Michigan, to William and Mabel (Scott) McNeil. Sarah was entered into marriage with Robert  E. Wolf.  She liked to watch hummingbirds and butterflies as they took flight on a sunny day.  She was strong in her faith and a God fearing woman, whom spent time daily on her devotions. Sarah attended church and often found herself at the Cadillac Church of Christ on any given Sunday morning.

She will be remembered for her genuine kindness and "gift of gab" allowing her to make friends wherever she went. As a matriarch figure to many there is no doubt Sarah will be cherished for the love she showed her family as well as others.

Sarah is survived by her daughters, Lynda (Jerry) Ritter and Penny (Jeremy Bodley) Knowles; sons, Kenneth (Christine) Meeker, Mark Meeker, and Terry (Sue) Hogle; her beloved stepchildren; 12 grandkids; 17 great-grandkids; 10 great-great-grandkids; two siblings, Martin Burns and Charlotte Turner; as well as many other loving family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert "Bernie" Wolf; her daughter, Cheryl Crandall; grandchildren, Tabitha and Ryan; former husband, Terrymax Hogle; as well as several other brothers and sisters.

Graveside memorial services will be at 12:30pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Lake City Cemetery. Followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 2pm at the pavilion inside the Missaukee County Campground in Lake City.  The family would like to encourage all those attending to dress in comfortable, casual, and bright colors in anticipation of the celebration at the lake.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Church of Christ in Cadillac to benefit their homeless efforts.
