Scott Harding Obituary

Scott Lee Harding, 55, of  Lansing and Houghton Lake passed away on Sunday June 6, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Hospital in Midland.

Scott was born on January 14, 1966 in Owosso, Michigan to Richard and Barbara (Hughes) Harding. He grew up in the Corunna area where he graduated from Corunna High School.  He then attended Kendall School of Design in Grand Rapids. Scott then moved to Houghton Lake and spent most of his adult life in the Houghton Lake area. Scott worked in the meat department at Glen's Market in Houghton Lake before he went to work for Houghton Lake Community Schools in the maintenance department.  He then worked at Save-A-Lot in Harrison and Meijer's in Lansing.  The past few months he has been working in the maintenance department at Cinta's in Lansing. Scott enjoyed art, and was always drawing and painting.  Scott and Dawn loved to go camping and doing rock hunting together.  His special love was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Violet.

Surviving Mr. Harding are his daughter, Alyssa (Kenneth) McLain of Lewiston; granddaughter, Violet; Father; Richard A. Harding of Houghton Lake; two brothers, Richard (Amie) Harding of AR, and Jeffery (Sally) Harding of Houghton Lake; nieces and nephews, Jeffery(Van) Harding, Shana(Tom) Vollmer, Ryan(Amanda) Harding, and Andrew Harding; and his special soul mate, Dawn Box of Lansing.  Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Lee Harding, and daughter, Emily Michelle Harding. 

Private Graveside Services for Scott Lee Harding will be conducted at Roscommon Township Cemetery, Houghton Lake with Pastor Jeff Harding officiating.  Memorial contributions in memory of Scott are asked to be directed to the family to establish a college fund for his granddaughter, Violet.
